Abstraction Land™
In the field between construction and terrain, a “place” emerges within abstraction—a territory where rhythm, friction, and the balance between triangles, squares, and complex facets become essential for interpretation. Abstraction Land is therefore not a motif, but a framework for experiencing the materiality of form as a landscape.
The starting point is geometric structures, yet the project also opens up to undefined elements that appear as remnants or “scrap” within the landscape. These fragments may resemble recognizable materials—such as a metal plate or a piece of wreckage—but without being them in any literal sense. Within the works they are transformed into UAO’s—Unidentified Art Objects—visible forms that can be seen, but not unambiguously identified.
